+## Escaping
+
+The following characters have special significance in glob patterns and must be escaped if you want them to be treated as regular path characters:
+
+- `?` (question mark)
+- `*` (star)
+- `|` (pipe)
+- `(` (opening parenthesis)
+- `)` (closing parenthesis)
+- `{` (opening curly brace)
+- `}` (closing curly brace)
+- `[` (opening bracket)
+- `]` (closing bracket)
+
